1. Introduction

Arun Watchworks ("we", "us", "our") is a watch repair workshop registered in Bangkok, Thailand, operating at 502 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500. We are committed to handling personal data with care and in compliance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have. It applies to data collected through our website and through direct contact (in person, by telephone, or by email).

Questions about this policy may be directed to: [email protected]

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

Direct collection — when you contact us via the website enquiry form, by telephone, or by email. We collect: your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and any information you include in your message about your watch or service needs.

Intake records — when you bring a watch to our workshop, we record the watch's condition, any agreed service scope, contact information for progress updates, and collection details. Photographs of the watch are taken as part of our standard intake process.

Technical data — our website may collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and may use cookies. See our Cookie Policy for further detail.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Contract performance — processing necessary to carry out a service you have requested or agreed to.
  • Legitimate interest — maintaining service records and responding to enquiries in a timely and informed manner.
  • Consent — where we ask for your agreement before using your data for any purpose not covered above, such as optional follow-up communications.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data collected to:

  • Respond to service enquiries and provide quotes
  • Carry out the watch service you have requested
  • Communicate progress updates and collection readiness
  • Maintain service records for the follow-up period applicable to your tier
  • Meet any legal obligations including financial recordkeeping

We do not use your personal data for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

Enquiry data (website forms, emails) is retained for up to 12 months from the date of the enquiry, unless a service relationship results from it.

Service records — including intake notes, photographs, timing reports, and correspondence — are retained for 5 years from the date of service. This retention period supports the follow-up service commitment and any applicable legal requirements.

Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years in accordance with Thai tax regulations.

6. Data Protection Measures

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include:

  • Access to service records restricted to workshop staff involved in the relevant service
  • Physical records stored in secured cabinets on workshop premises
  • Digital records held on password-protected systems
  • Communication of sensitive scope or quotation details by direct message or in person, not displayed publicly

  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data, where no legal retention obligation applies
